Gateway's Giant Pumpkinpalooza

The Gateway - Salt Lake City, Utah

The second annual GIANT PUMPKINPALOOZA will be fun!! Itwill be held October 5th, 2024 @ 2 PM (mountain time). We have added a lot of things to the event this year. Utah Arts Alliance and local haunted houses will be back with the Zombie Walk. The Clark Planetarium will be doing family activities involving the science of giant pumpkins dropping. The Gateway is even going to let us drop a pumpkin this year. Fan X will be there for a costume contest, and Flake Pie will provide pies for the pie eating contest.

Utah Giant Pumpkin Symposium 2024

Join us for a jumpstart to the 2024 growing season! We will have a Beginners Class, Advanced Class for growing giant pumpkins. We will also have a Beyond Master Gardener class for info on growing other giants. There will be special guests, awards, and exciting club news too. We will have raffle prizes, and seed packets for members. You will also be able to sign up for a yearly membership at the event.

Membership Dues/Seed Distribution 2024

UGPG membership is the calendar year from Jan 1st to Dec 31st. Membership is $35. This gets you in on the annual seed give away and into most UGPG activities during the year, including free entry into the weigh off. We need to have your membership by March 10th for you to be eligible for the seed distribution. You can join or renew your membership at our How To Grow seminar as well.

Much of the prize money we give out as an organization will be raised during this auction.
